On account of National Electrical Safety Week-2024 , Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has organized One Week Workshop on Handling of Electrical Equipment’s and Safety Measures” , Electrical Awareness is very important for everyone where each one should know the Basic Electrical Safety Measures , the hands on training session was an excellent platform and it has given wide knowledge about “Handling of Electrical Equipment’s and Safety Measures” and its related topics to various institute technical staff. The training made the target audience to understand the basic concepts was extremely appreciable and helpful. All the participants expressed their satisfaction for attending the training event. Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration

Objective (s) 1. Kannada Rajyotsava, derived from the words "Kannada" (the language spoken in Karnataka) and "Rajyotsava" (meaning state festival), symbolises the birth of the state of Karnataka. The festival highlights the unity of Kannada-speaking people and their rich culture.

National Service Scheme of BLDEACET successfully Conducted "Kannada Rajyotsava “observed on 1st November 2024. I am very much Thankful to Dr.V.G.Sangam, Principal of BLDEACET for his constant support. I am thankful to all the NSS Volunteers and MCA Staff for being such an incredible organizers of Kannada Rajyotsava.

Kannada Rajyotsava, also known as the Karnataka Formation Day, is celebrated on November 1st every year to mark the formation of the state of Karnataka. The day commemorates the unification of various Kannada-speaking regions into a single state in 1956. It is a day to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, language, and history of Karnataka. On November 1, 2024, our college hosted an enthusiastic celebration of this significant event, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to pay tribute to the state's legacy.

The Kannada Rajyotsava celebration in our college was organized by the Department of NSS in Association with Department of Computer Associations (MCA), with active participation from teaching staff ,non Teaching staff ,student volunteers. The event aimed to promote the Kannada language, culture, and traditions among the students while fostering a sense of unity and pride in the state of Karnataka. The celebration was marked by a Karnataka By Garlanding to Bhuvaneshwari Devi Portrait in front of the College.

The highlight of the celebration was a series of speeches by notable speakers, including the college principal, Kannada professors, and prominent local personalities. The speeches focused on the importance of preserving Kannada language and culture, the significance of Kannada Rajyotsava in uniting the people of the state, and the role of the youth in ensuring the state's continued progress.

The principal, in her speech, emphasized the importance of celebrating regional festivals like Kannada Rajyotsava to build a sense of identity and pride among students. She also encouraged students to promote the Kannada language in their daily lives and become ambassadors of the state’s cultural heritage. A few students, representing various backgrounds, also spoke about how Kannada unites people of all communities and traditions in the state.

The Kannada Rajyotsava celebration on November 1, 2024, was a resounding success in instilling a sense of pride and awareness about Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage among the students and faculty. The event not only celebrated the history of the state but also reinforced the importance of preserving and promoting the Kannada language, arts, and traditions. It was a day of unity, pride, and celebration, which brought together people from different backgrounds to honor Karnataka’s legacy and contributed to strengthening the cultural fabric of our college community. The event ended with the singing of the state anthem once again, marking the conclusion of a memorable day of celebration.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN

Awareness about Water conservation

Objective(s) 1)  The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan's main goal is to raise people's awareness of the value of cleanliness. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan purpose is to give every citizen with access to safe and sufficient drinking water as well as basic sanitation services like toilets, clean villages, and liquid & solid waste disposal systems. 2)  The main objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission are to eliminate open defecation, promote proper sanitation and hygiene practices, and create awareness about the importance of cleanliness and sanitation 3)  The key objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission include eliminating open defecation, promoting the construction of toilets, creating awareness about sanitation and hygiene, and ensuring the safe disposal of waste 4)  Bring about an improvement in the general quality of life in the rural areas, by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation.

In Association with Sports Department National Service Scheme of BLDEACET successfully Celebrated" INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY " observed on 21st June 2024. This year the theme is "Yoga for Self and Society" emphasizing Yoga's role in fostering individual well being and societal harmony. I am very much Thankful to Dr.V.G.Sangam , Principal of BLDEACET for his constant support. I am thankful to Mr.Shrikant C for being such an incredible yoga instructor.

International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system.

Today, on 21st June 2024, NSS BLDEACET celebrated International Yoga Day. It was attended by many prominent Professors, Principal and Students from different departments of the BLDEACET with great enthusiasm.

The event began with a brief introduction on Yoga Day by NSS Program officer Mr.Sahebgouda R Patil and by welcoming the guest of honor Ms. Shrikanth C, Yoga Instructor at Woman University, Vijayapur.

Warm up exercises were taken and all the students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. The celebration concluded with the speech of our principal Dr.V.G,Sangam Sir. He encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

All Faculties, Staff and students were taught the importance of Yoga in their life & how to maintain the harmony between body and mind. The students discussed the importance of yoga and also exhibited yoga postures and promised to introduce this activity in their daily lives.

International Yoga Day celebrations ended with a huge success under the supervision of NSS Program Officer and Sports Coordinator Mr. I.S.Ikkalaki.

Objective (s) 1) Provide free medical checkups, consultations, and treatment to people who cannot afford it. 2) Create awareness about health and healthcare, and counsel people on basic hygiene. 3) Identify and address health issues among staff members. 4) Promote healthy behaviors and reduce the incidence of diseases. 5) Ensure people get healthcare at the right time and see the doctor early enough to prevent small health problems from becoming serious.

In Association with Wellness Forever NSS organized one day “Free Health Checkup Camp” at BLDEA’S CET campus on 1st of October 2024. Health checkup to all the faculties of BLDEA’s CET was crucial to ensure healthier life style. During this camp various tests were made available such as Sugar level, Blood Pressure & weight measurement. More than 100 faculty members gone through these tests and received medical care for any changes in reference level of above-mentioned tests by Wellness Forever team members.  

The 78th Independence Day was marked with pride and enthusiasm, celebrating the spirit of freedom and the progress of the nation

Across the country, events were held to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for India's independence and to reflect on the journey of the nation since 1947.

In this spirit, the CSE (AIML) department organized a special event to commemorate the occasion. The event was graced by Mr. Mayank Ranjan, Regional Manager at L&T EduTech Bangalore, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Y.M. Jayaraj, Pro-Chancellor of BLDE (Deemed to be University), as the Guest of Honour. The celebration began with a heartfelt tribute to the security team, honored by Mr. N.B. Natikar, Chief Security Supervisor, in recognition of their dedication and service.

The ceremony began with the traditional flag hoisting, symbolizing the spirit of independence and unity. It was followed by a program filled with patriotic songs and inspiring speeches delivered by students, reflecting on the significance of Independence Day and the role of youth in nation-building.

Following this, the national flag was hoisted with great reverence, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem. symbolizing the spirit of independence and unity.The ceremony was enriched with patriotic songs and speeches delivered by students, reflecting on the significance of Independence Day and the role of youth in nation-building also expressed their love for the country and the importance of independence.

The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony, where the KSCST project winners were recognized. The award for the best project was given to the Mechanical Department, while the Computer Science Department was honored for the best poster presentation. These achievements highlighted the academic excellence and innovative spirit of the students.

The event concluded with insightful speeches from the Chief Guest, Mr. Mayank Ranjan, and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Y.M. Jayaraj. Both speakers emphasized the role of education and technology in shaping the future of the nation, inspiring students to contribute to the country's growth and development. The celebration was a fitting tribute to India's 78 years of independence, blending patriotism with academic cultural achievements.

The Drive was inaugurated by our Principal Dr V G Sangam and Dr Warad. Thankful to Dr Pushpa B Patil HOD of CSE Department for supporting to organize the drive.

Evidence of Success:

  • The donor Students will get free health check-ups in identifying the pulse rate, Blood pressure, Body temperature, and Hemoglobin level.

Organic Farming

A visit to an organic farm was done on 29/01/2024 for 2nd year E&C students to brief on the principles and practices of organic farming. Discussed the importance of soil health, biodiversity, and sustainability in organic agriculture.

World Environment Day

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
Objective (s) 1) The main objective of this programme is to upgrade and promote, protection, preservation and monitoring of environment in the college campus. 2) Helping to reduce greenhouse gasses and fight climate change 3) improving water quality in your streams and ponds 4) protecting groundwater supplies 5) World Environment Day on 5 June 2023 focussed on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution. The world is being inundated by plastic. More than 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced every year, half of which is designed to be used only once 6) This year, it falls on Monday and also marks the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day. The day encourages awareness and action for environmental protection by the global community. Many non-governmental organisations, businesses, and government entities back the cause. Moreover, World Environment Day is the United Nations outreach day for encouraging worldwide awareness and supporting the environment.
