Research & Development at BLDEACET

At BLDEACET, the importance of Research & Development (R&D) is highly recognized, complementing our commitment to innovative teaching and learning practices. Our institute boasts a well-established Research and Development cell that actively promotes, encourages and evaluates all R&D activities. This includes fostering basic research, establishing centres of excellence, and providing faculty development opportunities through PhD programs, conferences, workshops, and short-term training programs. Additionally, our faculty are motivated to submit research proposals to various funding agencies, further fostering a culture of research and innovation at BLDEACET.

AIM:

To foster a culture of quality innovation, positioning the institute as a renowned center for research and teaching excellence.

Proposed Objectives of the Research and Development Cell:

  1. Cultivate a research-oriented environment among faculty and students.
  2. Establish dedicated research centers in all departments of the institute.
  3. Develop well-equipped research laboratories within the institute's research centers.
  4. Enhance the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
  5. Motivate faculty members to organize national and international conferences.
  6. Establish centers of excellence within the institute to promote specialized research areas.
  7. Create awareness about various funding agencies such as AICTE, VTU, VGST, DST, ISRO, DRDO, UGC, CSIR, DSIR, etc., and encourage faculty and students to apply for funded research projects.
  8. Facilitate collaborations through Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various institutes to promote interdisciplinary research.
  9. Encourage department-level industry-institute collaborations to bridge the gap between academia and societal needs.
  10. Provide industrial training opportunities to students to enhance their practical knowledge and skills.

Framed Objectives:

  1. Conduct Short-Term Courses/Workshops for Continuing Education: Organize specialized courses and workshops to provide ongoing learning opportunities for professionals in relevant fields.
  2. Establish New Facilities to Strengthen the Curriculum: Develop and enhance infrastructure and facilities to support the curriculum and research activities, ensuring students can access state-of-the-art resources.
  3. Develop Course/Lab Modules: Design and implement new course and laboratory modules to align with emerging research trends and industry requirements, providing students with updated knowledge and practical skills.
  4. Undertake Research Projects Identified by Individual Industries: Collaborate with industries to identify and undertake research projects that address their specific needs and challenges, fostering industry-academia partnerships.
  5. Impart Industrial Training to Our Students: Provide students with valuable hands-on training experiences in industrial settings, enabling them to gain practical insights and enhance their industry-relevant skills.
  6. Establish Linkages with Various Industries for Student Projects: Foster connections and collaborations with diverse industries to facilitate student projects, allowing students to work on real-world challenges and gain industry exposure.
  7. Obtain Research Grants from Various Organizations: Actively seek research grants and funding opportunities from renowned organizations such as the Institution of Engineers India, DST, AR & DB, VGST, Government of Karnataka, DRDO, DRDL, DMRL, ISRO, CSIR, AICTE, etc., to support and finance research initiatives at the institute.
