About the Department

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program was started in the year 1985 with an intake of 40 and has grown steadily. The present enhanced AICTE approved intake is 180, which runs a full time four year degree program. The main focus of the department is to produce graduates & post graduates with strong fundamentals in Computer Science and Engineering domain.

The department has a total of 24 teaching faculty members with various specializations, out of which 4 are PhD holders and 10 are pursuing PhD. Faculties in the department have outstanding teaching experience. The department has excellent infrastructure with state of the art equipment and software tools. The department is spread over the sufficient area and housed with six well equipped laboratories viz. Computer Network Lab, Data Structures Lab, Computer Graphics Lab, Analog & Digital Electronics Lab, DBMS Lab & Microprocessor Lab with about 200 computers of state-of-the-art configuration, advanced software’s and up to 16 MBPS Broadband connection, Internet access to cater the needs of the students. The department has a strong R & D culture.

Best Practices

Following activities are conducted as part of best practices in the department.

Success Gatha

Success Gatha will be conducted to wish the placed students and to share their success journey with pre-final year students. This event helps to encourage and motivate the pre-final year students to prepare for the campus drives of reputed companies.

Computer Literacy Training to primary and high school teachers and students.

The main objective of this training is to provide hands-on training on computer basics, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and working with Internet to teachers and students to make the best utilization of computers in their teaching and learning process.
