About the Department

The department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1985 with an annual intake of 30 students. The present AICTE approved intake of UG program is 180, which runs a full time four year degree program. The main focus of the department is to produce versatile graduates & post graduates making them ready to be employed in industry/government sector/higher education/research & development/ entrepreneurship with strong fundamentals in Computer Science and Engineering domain. A motivated, dedicated, and qualified team of teaching and supporting staff provides unparalleled support and help related to academic, career, sports, and extracurricular activities that a student requires during their course of study.

The department has well equipped laboratories that cater to the curriculum needs of the university and beyond. The department is spread over the large area and provides ample computing facilities with high speed broadband connection, Internet access to cater the needs of the students. We at the department have Centres of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which helps to provide the best platform at an affordable cost to realize the dreams of all those who are having a great passion for Medical Image Processing, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition System and Smart Farming.

Program offers a wide range of careers based on the interest of students. The students graduating in Computer Science and Engineering have bright career prospects. The Graduates can become IT professionals and work in multinational companies in India and abroad as Software Engineers, IT consultants, Health IT Specialists, Mobile Application Developer, Cloud Architect, Computer Forensic Investigators, Web developer, Data Scientist etc. The Graduates can pursue higher education and Research in various domains like AI and Machine Learning, Medical imaging, Networks and Communications, IoT etc.
