Research & Development
While doing wonderful innovations in Teaching- Learning, the importance of Research & Development has not gone unnoticed. The institute has Research and Development cell and well established mechanism through which all R&D activities are promoted, encouraged and appraised .The R&D cell implements activities such as basic research, establishing centers of excellence, cultivating research skills in faculty by deputing for Ph.D, Conferences, workshops, Short term Training programs, & promoting faculty to submit research proposals to different funding agencies.
OBJECTIVES OF RESEARCH
- To create an environment with equal focus on both teaching – learning and research & consultancy
- To undertake research projects in collaboration with industry, academia and government
- To publish research papers in International/National journals
- To provide consultancy and testing services to industries.
Programme on Patent Filing:2017-18
Faculty awareness programme on “Procedures of Patent filing” was organized by the Mechanical Engineering Dept on 24-11-2017. Resourse person for this Programme was Prof.Manoj Ukkamnal Assistant Professor School of Engineering campus- KIIT University Bhuubaneswar Odissha. he has briefd about an international Patent and Indian patent on “Patternator for Patent Measurement”.
B.L.D.E.A’s Mechanical Department has fetched Rs 20 lakh in the Research Development from Vision Group on Science and Technology,( VGST )
in Developing the Research Laboratory- Details are ,
- Dr.R.G. Tikotkar (Mechanical Engineering) Fetched a Research Grant of Rs 10 Lakh in Establishing the Tribology Laboratory.
- Dr.G.V.Patil (Mechanical Engineering) also fetched A Research Grant of Rs 10 Lakh in production Management Research Work.
