Parents Meet 2017-18:
The Mechanical Department has organised a Parent-teacher meeting on Saturday, 28th Oct. 2017 in college Library Seminar hall at 11:00 am. The main purpose of meet was to create a common platform, where teacher and parents come together to enrich the student’s educational experiences and discuss variety of issues, regarding all round development of students.
The meeting was organised under guidance and presidentship of Head of the Department Prof.S.B.Koulagi.
The agenda of the meeting
- Welcome and introduction of teachers and parents.
- To provide information about various student oriented activities and schemes run by college.
- Suggestion from parents.
- Any subject with permission of chair.
Minutes of the meeting
Parent teacher meeting was started with goddess Saraswati poojan. Welcome address and introductory speech was proposed by our beloved HOD. He explained how PTA can offer the best possible learning environment for the students. Then all faculty members were introduced to parents.
Practical approach with theoretical knowledge is the necessity to learn any field. Guest lectures enable the students in enriching the latest updates regarding avenues for higher studies and jobs as well as the need of the industry. While handling the real modern life challenges one must need the best academician with leadership quality and knowledge about soft skills. Our Department invite the eminent personalities of various fields and stalwarts of the industry to lend valuable information from their first hand experience which is serve as an ideal platform for the students. emphasis is given not only in making the students academically brilliant but successful in all life skills forgetting the pressure of the work. Scholars from various industries, Motivational speakers and soft skills trainers help in molding the overall personalities of the students. Prof.S.S.Kulkarni who is co-ordinator for this event has Come up with many Guest lectures in this Academic year.

Fresher’s welcome function-MECHNOVATO-2017
“MECHNOVATO-2017” Fresher’s welcome function was organized by Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA), on 28 Aug 2017. The programme started with inaugural function. The function was preceded over by our chief guest Shri.SidduKalogond (Sr.Manager JSW Karnataka), who is an Alumni of our department, along with our beloved HOD Prof.S.B.Koulagi, Dr.M.I.Sakri (Dean Academic Affairs) and all staff and students. Programme was conducted very smoothly. Chief guest Shri.SidduKalogond Motivated the students with his speech, in his talk expressed the importance of mechanical engineering in the corporate sector. And boosted the students with opportunities present for an mechanical engineer.
Project Co-ordinator Prof.R.S.Ellur of Mechanical Engineering Department organized Final year students Project Exhibition – 2017 on 29/05/2017. Overwhelming response was given by the students. Total 56 projects were exhibited. Students of PU colleges were invited to exhibition to encourage the students. Out of 56 projects, four projects have been adjudged as best projects and awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

The Annual National Level Technical Festival of B.L.D.E.A’s Engineering College was held in the College Premises in benefitting manner for the Students on 7th & 8th of this month.
Mechanical Department MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENT ASSOCIATION (MESA) organized “Mechatrix-2K17” an annual Inter College & Inter department level contest with multiple technical events. This year, Mechatrix -2K17 received overwhelming response in all its events. The motive of this event is to develop various skills of students in Co-Curricular activities and to expose them to the current trends in the technical and professional fields.

ENGINEERS DAY FUCTION 2016-17
Engineer’s Day in India is observed on September 15, 2017 the anniversary of Bharat Ratna Visvesvaraya’s birthday in 1861.He is known as India’s greatest engineer of all times. His talent and interest in engineering was linked with a very patriotic spirit for India. Visvesvaraya cared a lot for the question how engineering could support and build up his home nation India. This time our Department has got an opportunity to organize Engineers Day function on behalf of Institute on 15th September. Shri. Raju Bannur Was the Chief guest of the Fuction.
