The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program was started in the year 1985 with an intake of 40 and has grown steadily. The present enhanced AICTE approved intake is 120, which runs a full time four year degree program. The main focus of the department is to produce graduates & post graduates with strong fundamentals in Computer Science and Engineering domain.
The department has a total of 27 teaching faculty members with various specializations, out of which 4 are PhD holders and 8 are pursuing PhD. Faculty in the department have outstanding teaching experience. The department has maintained a student staff ratio of 15:1, has excellent infrastructure with state of the art equipment and software tools. The department is spread over the sufficient area and housed with six well equipped laboratories viz. Computer Network Lab, Data Structures Lab, Computer Graphics Lab, Analog & Digital Electronics Lab, DBMS Lab & Microprocessor Lab with about 200 computers of state-of-the-art configuration, advanced software’s and up to 16 MBPS Broadband connection, Internet access to cater the needs of the students. The department has a strong R & D culture.

A graduate of the Computer Science and Engineering Program will demonstrate:
PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences
PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
