1. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

We primarily focus on promoting the highest standards of trustworthiness and honesty to make leaders and responsible global citizens.

2. SERVICE TO COMMUNITY

Bijapur, once the cradle of Vachankaras and Vachanan Literature, became the capital of the Adil Shahi’s who constructed world famous monuments like Gol-Gumbaz and Ibrahim Roza. In the course of history, though a district of five rivers, it remained backward in every respect under the British rule. An educationally and economically backward district Bijapur had a bright ray of hope when men of philanthropy founded Bijapur Liberal District Education Association (BLDEA) with a visionary zeal in year 1910.

BLDE Association started this esteemed college in year 1980 as a private Institute. The Institute is the result of the BLDE Associations recognition of the need for quality technical education in the country. The product of our education is directly or indirectly benefits the community

Vachana Pitamaha Dr. P.G. Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology, Bijapur, totally believes in conducting all activities in an ethical manner. Our Institute is committed to practices which are fair, honest and objective in dealing with students, faculty members, staff and stake holders at all levels of Institution.

Our Institute believes in inclusiveness and collaboration on a worldwide basis. We both teach and follow ethics, environmentally responsible engineering practice to remain relevant and attract the highest caliber of students, faculty, and staff.

5. ENTREPRENEURSHIP

We are Proud to say that BLDEA’s V.P.  Dr. P.G. Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology,Bijapur has been identified as a an incubation center for Karnataka New Age Incubation Network for Entrepreneurship Development and Mentoring by Government of Karnataka. The programme encourages entrepreneurship and innovation by giving first preference to students, research scholars and alumni of the college. The main program objective is to find innovation projects that solve local problems. For management of program and execution of the projects a sum of Rs. 40 lakhs will be provided to our college. Ten IT enabled projects will be provided with necessary resources and  a funding of  Rs. 3 lakhs each.
